The movie is about a battle rapper, rehabilitated from his criminal past, who goes to Hong Kong to pursue a lucrative career in the music industry, only to get caught in the middle of a drug deal that will endanger his hopes for a new life. Coerced and caught in the cross-hairs of the criminal underworld, he is now fighting for his life and forced on the run in the dark of night on the streets of Kowloon, where he must stay one step ahead of the demons of his past if he is wants to live the prospects of a better future.

The short will be filmed by the awesome Kamil, and Temur will cover the action choreography part, as well as acting in it too. Keep an eye on this one as it will be a great film, and it will be shot later this year in June.

So do stop by the thr3′s Facebook page or come back to the blog for more updates about these projects.

Before the see ya laters for this time, please have a listen to the thr3′s friend Meilin‘s new tune that has been blasted at the thr3 office lately. Be warned, it’s very catchy…

So what else is new on the thr3 side?

Kam and J. have been keeping themselves busy with their personal projects; Kam is busy snapping away in the world of underground music. He has also started a new music/photo blog where he keeps everyone updated on what’s happening on the small music stage, and also throws in a bit of other bits and bobs from his photo adventures. Check it out for your self at kamsphotoblog.wordpress.com. J. is busy with his rapping and writing. Soon he will be going back to the recording studio to start recording some new sweet tunes. Keep an eye on him as well.

There are also some movie projects in the pipeline; some are American productions, and some local based in Hong Kong/China. There’s a project that the whole thr3 team is signed to, “Lady Bloodsport”, which is looking to go into production in June this year.

J. and Temur are going over some ideas for the choreography for the film. They were asked to come up with a short fight choreography demo for the project, so yesterday afternoon J., Kam and Temur all went out to a local garden in Cheung Sha Wan to do some filming. The results can be viewed just below. Just remember to view it in HD for better quality.

The thr3team is also signed to a Hip-Hop movie project called “Discord” that will be directed by Damon Dash, and starring J. as the lead character about a Rapper who has to choose between his passion for music or make money in the drug game with gangsters.
This movie will be based on some true events which J. has experienced from the past.

As projects after projects are flooding in for the thr3, the whole team is ready for anything… So get ready world, the thr3 is here to stay!

“Fist of the Dragon” – It’s a wrap!

Wassup everyone!!!

It has been over a month J. and Kam went to China to be on the set of Roger Corman produced “Fist of the Dragon”. The film, directed by Antony Szeto, is a remake of the Don Wilson classic “Moving Target”, and stars MMA champion Josh “The Punk” Thomson, Xin Sarith Wuku and Ellary Porterfield. Been a crazy month with long but awarding hours on the set, and now they are back in Hong Kong.

After long hours, cold weathers, bruises & cuts, it was an experience for them both as they learned a lot on how film making works.

J. as a thug in "Fist of the Dragon"

Now that “Fist of the Dragon” is all wrapped up, J. and Kam will be working on their next project with Sifu Bey Logan, the “Fantom”.

“Fantom” is a low-budget and high-impact hard-edged urban martial arts thriller, set to be shoot here in Hong Kong later this year. Sifu Bey Logan directs, and the cast includes rising stars and established players including Vivienne Tseng (“Lust and Found”), newcomer J.
